| Description: | Westminster Village, a continuing care retirement community, is interviewing for a Culinary Manager to support our Dining Services. Under the Director of Dining Services, the Culinary Manager will be responsible for planning, preparation, production and presentation of quality cuisine meeting the discriminating tastes of a senior population as well as meeting their nutritional requirements. The Culinary Manager will be challenged to assist in creating a hospitality program that includes varying menus, culinary feature items, catering specialties and more. This is a position with great potential and exciting opportunities. |
| Duties: | The Culinary Manager is responsible for planning, ordering, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food served to residents, staff, and guests in the dining areas of the facility. This also includes the special diet needs of various residents. The Culinary Manager will manage staff, be responsible for resident and employee satisfaction. The Culinary Manager will also work with the Dining Director and Dining Room Supervisor to help with all aspects of the Dining Department as needed.
•Responsible for directing and training employees with strong leadership and good communication.
•Responsible for scheduling and hiring.
•Responsible for keeping a sense of unity and instilling a drive that promotes the well being of the residents.
•Supervise kitchen operations and staff and have a working knowledge of all other serving areas. Must be able to fill any given position in the dining department as needed.
•Assures that all safety and sanitation procedures are followed.

| Qualifications: | The successful candidate will hold a designation at least that of a Certified Cook under the American Culinary Federation system; indicating graduation from a two year (or 22 mo.) culinary program or equivalent, with a strong baking/pastry component.
The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with the senior population. |
